Nokia Mako, Thresher, Grouper, and Snapper: Nokia for AT&T

AT&T mentions a number of new mobile devices that will soon be released. Thus, among others in a few new Nokia, even though traditionally, it is believed that the company does not often release their products for North American operators. The first model is code-named Mako. It is a slider phone with a sliding QWERTY keyboard. The device form is somewhat unusual and different from most of the products of the same form factor: the bottom of screen, there is an extension for additional buttons. Nokia Mako platform is based on S60 3.2, among the smartphone features are support 3G/HSDPA networks, 2.4-inch QVGA display, AGPS support, 2 MP camera, 128 MB of internal memory, microSD card slot and 2.5 mm headphone jack. Announcement smartphone is scheduled for June 5.

Also in roadmap, it’s mention stylish glossy slider phone, Nokia Thresher. This phone is based on Series 40, it is equipped with a 3.2 MP camera, 2.4-inch QVGA display, AGPS supports, Bluetooth 2.1, and GSM and 3G/HSDPA. Nokia Thresher will be on sale at AT&T in September.

Another model is known as Grouper, Nokia Grouper. It is also known as the Nokia 6750 Mural flips, and it is seen at the site of US Federal Communications Commission (FCC). Specifications of the phone are similar to Nokia Thresher, it has only 2 MP and diagonal display is slightly less 2.2 inches.

Nokia Grouper will be released in July. And finally, the latest Nokia for AT&T is Snapper. This phone has nevertheless and good performance: 2-inch QVGA display, 2 MP camera, AGPS and Bluetooth 2.1. Nokia Snapper is 3G support. Release of the phone is scheduled for August. It is unclear whether Nokia will prepare the device for other markets, particularly interesting Mako smartphone.
