Nokia N900, official announcement
Nokia officially announced its new N900 internet tablet, earlier than expected. This model is already fairly well known by hearsay, it is followed the N800 and N810, extends the range of Nokia Internet Tablet. Nokia N900 is the first internet tablet based on the latest Maemo 5 operating system.
Nokia N900 is equipped with a 3.5-inch touch screen and sliding QWERTY keyboard, it is noticeably smaller and lighter than its predecessor. Nokia N900 offers ample opportunities of the Internet through the Mozilla browser, moreover, supported by Adobe Flash 9.4 technology. Its connection is available with Wi-Fi or cellular networks. In addition, internet tablet has brings a phone functionality, a first for a series of Nokia Internet Tablet. Nokia N900 supports 2G and 3G network, it is not a clear positioning of the producer as an Internet tablet, and it could well be attributed to the class of smartphones. Sales of new items in some markets will begin in October this year; the cost will be 500 EUR, excluding taxes and subsidies. Nokia N900 will also hold a demonstration on the Nokia World 2009, September 2nd in Stuttgart.
