Nokia X5-01 QWERTY Slider launches in Singapore, debut in Indonesia

Nokia has recently announced its new smartphone at Nokia Connection in Singapore, known as Nokia X5 (X5-01). The cellphone is running on Symbian 9.3 OS (S60 Third Edition Feature Pack 2 Platform). It is a square-faced slider with a slide-out QWERTY keyboard.

Nokia X5-01 phone is packs a 2.36-inch TFT horizontally oriented display with resolution of 240×320 pixels (QVGA), which is less little than Nokia X5 that designed for the Chinese market.

The Nokia X5 (X5-01) has brings a 5 megapixel camera with LED flash, 200 MB of integrated memory, a microSD card slot (upgradable to 32GB) and a 2GB memory card included, 3.5mm headphone jack , FM radio, a microUSB port, Bluetooth 2.1+EDR, and Wi-Fi. In some markets, the model will be bundled with Nokia’s Comes With Music unlimited subscription service.

The smartphone works in GSM/GPRS/EDGE 850/900/1800/1900 MHz and UMTS/HSDPA 850/1900/2100 MHz or 900/1900/2100 MHz (depending on the region distribution). Its battery is enabling up to 16 days in standby mode, up to 24 hours in music mode.

Dimensions of Nokia X5-01 are 74.3×66.4×16.8 mm. Nokia X5-01 QWERTY slider will be available Q3 2010 in Indonesia and expected price of 160 euros ($194). It should be come in blue, pink, green, purple, and black colors.

Along with the Nokia X5 (X5-01) slider phone, Nokia also introduced another version of the Nokia X6 with the 8GB flash storage. The cost of this Nokia X6 will be 225 euros. Previously, the manufacture has released versions with capacities of 32GB and 16GB memory.
