December 30th, 2008 | Filed under Computer 0 Comments

Nu has presented the first unit slim combo Blu-ray/DVD Drive. Nu EBC100 is external drive directly from the USB port of your computer. It is therefore ideal for those who like to travel light baggage.

Unfortunately this is just recorded a DVD / CD, while in terms of Blu-ray only allows the read. The speeds are not for throwing rockets, but progress in terms of mobility is considerable.

With only connected to a USB 2.0 port, you can burn DVDs at 8X and read BD-ROM to 2X. Other recording speeds would be:

* 8X DVD ± R
* 4X DVD ± RW
* 2X for DVD ± R DL
* 5X DVD-RAM
* 8X CD-R
* 4X CD-RW
