NVIDIA prepares own smartbook, Firefly
According to the resource SemiAccurate, NVIDIA Corporation has already developed a prototype smartbook called Firefly. And ready smartbook may be issued under the NVIDIA brand no later than September.
Reported, NVIDIA is currently considering various options for the ODM producer of this smartbook. The device is based on the Tegra platform and includes the ARM processor, and integrated NVIDIA graphics. Software platform will use Windows CE operating system.
It is also possible Firefly smartbook will simply reference design from NVIDIA, such as Classmate PC netbook from Intel. They are developed a series of chips reference netbook, sold under various brands, for example, CTL 2Go PC, Daewoo C920, Archos Classmate and M&A Companion PC.
