OCZ Colossus 3.5-inch solid state drives gets price

Detail specification of new OCZ Colossus SSD has not yet announced, but its prototype was shown at the beginning of June at Computex 2009. This SSD device is interesting, first of all, its huge capacity has reaching 1TB. In addition, the SSD promises to be the first solution from OCZ actually on the market that occurred in the 3.5-inch form factor.

OCZ Colossus SSD is equipped with a storage SATA 3.0 Gbps interface, Silicon Image RAID controller, as well as two or four Indilinx Barefoot controllers (depending on model). The maximum speed of read and write data of this SSD is up to 260 MB/sec.

The OCZ Colossus SSD may appear on sale in mid August and it will be available in capacity versions 128GB, 256GB, 512 GB, and 1TB. The price of these models is $299, $649, $1199 and $2199 respectively.
