OCZ MiniPCI Express SSD for Netbook

One of the leaders in the manufacture of memory and computer components, the OCZ Technology introduced its first SSD-drive with an MiniPCI-Express interface. Novelty, as stated, is an affordable solution based on flash memory cards, allowing owners netbook greatly increase the capacity of their devices. These SSD are an effective alternative to traditional storage, which allows students and professionals to improve the economical amount of memory available in netbook.

According Ryan Edwards, the representative of OCZ Technology, the new SSD products created in such a small form factor, suitable for many users. With the addition of its product line of SSD module interface Mini-PCI Express. Company will be able to offer owners of UMPC devices and netbook quality, energy-efficient and reliable alternative to traditional mini hard drive. In addition, SSD drives have very quiet and not afraid to shake.

The new SSD modules from OCZ will be available in versions with SATA and PATA interfaces. SATA version will work on speed 110 MB/s and 51 MB/s when reading and writing, respectively, and the version with PATA interface can display up to 45 MB/s reading and 35 MB/s while recording.

OCZ Mini-PCI Express SSD drives compatible with operating systems Windows XP, Windows Vista and Windows 7, as well as Mac OS X 10 and above. They will go on sale in versions with a capacity of 16 GB and 32 GB, it will be fitted with a two-year warranty. On the cost and date of sale is not mentioned.
