OCZ Technology has just announced two new 2.5-inch SSDs that called the OCZ Vertex 3 and the OCZ Vertex 3 Pro.

The first drive is designed for standard desktop PC, the latter is ideal for servers, storage systems and other enterprise computing. The OCZ Vertex 3 SSD is pack SandForce SF-2200 controller, while the OCZ Vertex 3 Pro SSD is used SandForce SF-2500 controller.

Both OCZ SSDs are utilized MLC (multi-level cell) NAND flash memory, SATA 6.0 Gbps interface, and up to 60,000 IOPS (Input/Output Operations Per Second) in 4k random write. It is claimed read and write speeds of up to 550 MB/s and 500 MB/s, respectively.

The OCZ Vertex 3 SSD will be available in capacity of 120GB and 240GB. The OCZ Vertex 3 Pro SSD will come with three versions – 100GB, 200GB and 400GB.
