OCZ Z-Drive m84 PCIe SSD
OCZ has decided to renew its line of SSD drives with PCI-Express interface. Novelty is called Z-Drive m84 and uses to connect to the system via PCIe x8 interface. The OCZ Z-Drive m84 PCIe SSD is based on NAND memory with multilevel cells and has a built-in RAID controller.
OCZ Z-Drive m84 SSD is a fairly reliable solution, the MTBF (mean time before failure) is one million hours. It has announced three versions of the Z-Drive m84 with a capacity of 256GB, 512GB and 1TB. The rate of read and write data for the two older models up to 870 MB/s and 780 MB/s, and a version with a capacity of 256GB of similar figures are 750 MB/s and 650 MB/s, respectively.
OCZ Z-Drive m84 PCIe SSD is optimized for use in systems for editing media content, gaming computers and workstations. The OCZ Z-Drive m84 PCIe SSD is equipped with a three-year warranty and should appear on sale in the next few weeks. About the price of the drive is no reported, but it will be cheaper than other solutions with similar performance.
