The One Laptop Per Child (OLPC) has announced that completion of work on new OLPC’s brand new XO-1.5 laptop that targeted at children from developing countries.
The original OLPC XO convertible laptop is executed on AMD Geode LX-700 processor and it is equipped with 1GB internal storage, a SD memory card slot, Wi-Fi, 0.3MP camera, and 7.5-inch display.
The main difference between the new version, the OLPC XO-1.5 convertible tablet laptop is used Via C7-M Ultra Low Voltage x86-compatible processor at up to 1GHz, 4GB NAND flash, 512MB or 1GB DDR2 SDRAM memory, an internal microSD card (not user-changeable without opening the unit with a screwdriver), and a SD memory card slot.
One Laptop per Child XO-1.5laptop is equipped with 7.5-inch dual-mode TFT display, WiFi 802.11b/g, webcam, stereo speakers, and microphone. Dimensions of OLPC XO-1.5 laptop are 242×228x32 mm.
