OLPC XO-1.75 brings multitouch, Sugar OS
Non-profit organization, Sugar Labs, has participating in the OLPC (One Laptop Per Child) project and develops a software platform, the Sugar OS for inexpensive children’s netbook, the XO, which will share the plans for the future.
It is reported that One Laptop Per Child project will be adding touch and multitouch support to new version for OLPC XO, namely the OLPC XO-1.75. The next-gen OLPC is a convertible netbook and based on Marvell’s Moby platform (ARM chip).
The currently tablet form-factor OLPC device, the OLPC XO-1.5 is boasts VIA VX855 chipset and VIA C7-M processor.
