Olympus LS-11 Linear PCM Audio Recorder, professional
Olympus announced the new Linear PCM Recorder audio recorder, Olympus LS-11. This recorder can record sound in stereo mode with bit rate 24 bit/96kHz in Linear PCM format. According the manufacturer, the new voice recorder allows you to recording studio-quality music, capture birdsongs, sounds of nature, create audio for podcasts and broadcast, as well as writing a note, commenting on photos, and more.
Olympus LS-11 Linear PCM Audio Recorder can record and play back audio format WAV, MP3 and WMA. Recording can be done through the built-in or through a connected external microphone. Olympus LS-11 allows you to index the files in the PCM mode to facilitate the search for the index mark in the file with feature More Intuitive File Indexing.
The device has 8GB internal memory, there is also a slot for SD/SDHC memory card (supported up to 32GB). Other technical features include 1.8-inch screen with backlight, and two integrated speakers. Optionally is available remote control. According to the manufacturer, the recorder can produce a continuous recording of up to 23 hours for two AA batteries.
The Olympus LS-11 Linear PCM Audio Recorder bundle includes Steinberg CUBASE LE 4 Sound editing software with a set of tracks and effects, USB cable, audio cable connecting, two AA batteries, and a strap. You can also buy a wireless remote control, power adapter, two gun microphones (ME-31 and ME-32), a white silicone skin, Rechargeable Battery (Ni-MH) and Charger, as well as a windjammer.
The body of Olympus LS-11 Linear PCM Audio Recorder is made of aluminum. It will be available in silver. Olympus LS-11 will be on sale in September 2009 at a price of about $400.
