Olympus has expanded its line of digital compact cameras. It is new Olympus µ-7010 (in United States, Olympus Stylus 7010), despite the small size, wide-angle lens. Its lens is equipped with a 7x optical zoom (28-196 mm in 35mm equivalent) and 12 megapixel image stabilized sensor.
Olympus Stylus 7010 Digital Compact Camera is equipped with 2.7-inch HyperCrystal II LCD screen, a set of embedded features include an Intelligent Auto mode and AF tracking. In addition, there is Advanced Face Detection of up to 16 persons for perfectly focused and exposed faces, also correct exposure of other image areas. A Magic Filters option allows the user to handle photos directly into the camera with the help of various filters (Pop Art, Pin Hole, Sketch and Fish-Eye filters). There is a function of video recording in VGA resolution with sound at 30fps.
Olympus Stylus 7010 ultra-compact camera supports xD-Picture Card and microSD compatibility for storage and 36MB internal memory. Its dimensions are 98×56x26 mm and weight is 125g (no battery). It will be available in August 2009 with variety color in silver, gray and pink.
