Olympus has introduced a durable compact camera at CES 2013 exhibition, the Olympus Stylus Tough TG-2 iHS. This point-and-shoot will be available starting in March 2013 and expected price of around 379.99 in either black and red color options.
Designed specifically for athletes, adventures, and very active lifestyle people, the Olympus Stylus Tough TG-2 iHS is made out of rugged case, which can operate underwater at 15 meters depths, withstand a drops from two meters height, and well-work in temperatures of minus 10 degrees Celsius.
As camera feature, the Stylus Tough TG-2 iHS sports a 12MP 1/2.3-inch BSI CMOS sensor with 4x optical zoom and 25-100mm (35mm equivalent) lens. This rugged camera has features shutter speed of 5-1/2000 sec, and sensitivity range of ISO 100-6400. The Olympus Stylus Tough TG-2 iHS compact camera packs a 3-inch OLED display, stereo microphone, a Lithium-Ion LI90B rechargeable battery, and HDMI port.
It can Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) video recording and burst continuous shots at 5 frames per second. To record the coordinates while the capturing photos, the camera is built-in GPS. Weighs 230g, its dimensions are 111 x 67 x 29 mm.
