Open a Door with Cellphone
Dec 5, 2008 House and Furniture, Mobile Phones
Probably everyone have to go (or if you were not known) that many hotels, especially penthouse, have cards that open the doors of the rooms. This is certainly a comfort really big because we just have to keep your “key” in your wallet and do not bother. But, undoubtedly, would be much more comfortable if we could keep the “key” in our phone.
How? Very simple. The Nokia is working together with VingCard and explained that the hotels would send the keys of the cards by SMS and then just reset when you go.
The only problem is this technology throughout the chip Near Field Communication (NFC), a kind of RFID from Nokia, which is not currently used in cell phones, and for that reason, is still lacking for use massively.
