OWC Mercury Elite-AL Pro Qx2: RAID Solution with Quad Interface
Other World Computing (OWC) has announced a new RAID-box Mercury Elite-AL Pro Qx2. Reportedly, the device can automatically configured when you connect (Plug and Play) and it is equipped with a feature Quad Interface, that is, supports the work of the four types of ports: FireWire 800, FireWire 400, USB 2.0 and eSATA. RAID-box has four compartments for SATA hard drives up to a total capacity of 8TB, and the speed of data exchange is very professional level up to 300 MB/sec. You can use different settings to be chosen by the user with support for RAID mode 0, 1, 5, 10, and the so called NRAID setting.

As the manufacturer states, Mercury Elite-AL Pro Qx2 designed for use with Mac and Windows computers with audio and video, digital photos and graphics. It is equipped with protection against shock and placed in an aluminum shell with a good measure of heat. On the front panel are located a few LED indicators showing the current state of the system, and a removable mechanical lock ensures safety inside hard drives.
