The speed of the SD card and SDHC are handled by the SD Card Association and so far the highest speed reached is the Class 6 (which it is aimed at products that transfer at least 6MB/s). But now Panasonic in Japan revealed a Class 10 Card. It can boast a maximum speed of 22 MB/s though.

Panasonic is selling today, only in Japan, there are version cards 4GB, 8GB, 16GB and 32GB possessing these transfer speeds. The most expensive of 32GB, costs $ 420.
