Panasonic Let’s Note N8 and Let’s Note S8

Panasonic has official introduced in Japan two new ultraportable notebooks: Let’s Note N8 and Let’s Note S8.

In Europe and US market, these notebooks will be sale under the brand name of Panasonic ToughBook, while in Japan uses the name of Let’s Note.

The both notebooks are a 2.53GHz Intel Core 2 Duo P8700 processor and an Intel GM45 Express chipset. Panasonic Let’s Note N8 and Let’s Note S8 is equipped with 12.1-inch display with a resolution of 1366×768 pixels, 250GB hard drive, 2GB or 4GB of RAM, Wi-Fi 802.11a/b/g/n, WiMAX, slots for SDHC card, and HDMI out. Panasonic Let’s Note S8 laptop is equipped with a DVD drive.

According to the manufacturer, their battery is provides up to 16 hours in standby mode. Weight of Panasonic Let’s Note N8 is 1.27 kg and the Panasonic Let’s Note S8 is 1.32kg. As an option, Panasonic offers a lower capacity battery (up to 8 hours of battery life), which will reduce the weight of the notebook into 150-170g.

Panasonic Let’s Note N8 and Let’s Note S8 will be available in Japan market on October 22, the day of world premiere of Windows 7 OS. Panasonic also announced Let’s Note F8, Let’s Note R8, Let’s Note W8 and Let’s Note T8, which those already sold but with new Windows 7 (32bit) OS.

Cost of Panasonic Let’s Note N8 in the Japanese market will be about $2,230.
