Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ38/FZ35 camera, hybrid superzoom
Panasonic launches with several surprises, one of them is new camera with a Hybrid Superzoom, DMC-FZ38 (Lumix DMC-FZ35 in U.S.). This is a very good option for those who want a great camera without going directly to the more expensive DSLR.
The Lumix DMC-FZ38 camera comes with a 27mm wide angle lens with a powerful 18x optical zoom, 12 megapixel sensor and an image stabilizer under the name POWER O.I.S. (Optical Image Stabilizer). This camera also brings a faster Venus Engine HD processor.
According the manufacture, Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ38 has a Quick AF system and that is two times faster than Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ28.

Unfortunately, these cameras do not even reach the level of the highest ranges of Canon or Nikon, it is capable of recording in high definition, but not Full HD, and it is more than enough at some 720p.
Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ35 can record video in AVCHD Lite motion images using H.264 compression. The dimensions are 118 x 76 x 89 mm and weight is 367g (without battery)
There is no exact date of availability in market but we will only be known in September 2009 and the price of this Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ38/FZ35 is about €380.
