Panasonic Lumix DMC-GF1 Camera, official introduced
Panasonic has officially expanded line of Lumix compact digital cameras, model DMC-GF1, rumors of which appeared in the summer.
In addition to the Panasonic Lumix DMC-GF1, it is another Micro Four Thirds (MFT), Panasonic already have two MFT camera; DMC-G1 and DMC-GH1.
Panasonic Lumix DMC-GF1 has become the third model of performed on the latest Micro Four Thirds (MFT), which implies the absence of an optical viewfinder and a mirror. Distance from the lens mount to sensor is 20 mm instead of 40 as traditional SLR cameras (DSLR). This makes it possible significant reduction in device dimensions while maintaining the quality of images inherent DSLR body.
Allowing the use of interchangeable lenses camera, DMC-GF1, outwardly similar to a film camera, equipped with 12.1-megapixel Live MOS sensor with maximum sensitivity of 3200 ISO, 3-inch LCD display with a resolution of 460K pixel of lights, and automatic tuning, as well as Venus Engine HD image processing. Its focusing is carried out to 23 points; 16 scene modes shooting.
The device is able to shoot video with Full HD resolution up to 1280×720 pixels (also supports QVGA, VGA and WVGA) at a speed of 30 frames per second. Panasonic Lumix DMC-GF1 also has HDMI out that capable to be viewed on an external display high resolution (such as HDTV). The storage of this Panasonic GF1 is SD and SDHC memory card.
Dimensions of Lumix DMC-GF1 are 19x71x36.3 mm and weight is 285g (according to manufacture, new smaller and lighter than the DMC-G1). New Panasonic Lumix DMC-GF1 will be on sale in October 2009 for an estimated price of $900.
