Panasonic Toughpad A1 and B1 rugged tablets made announced
Panasonic has recently official announced two Toughpad Android rugged tablets. It is called the Panasonic Toughpad A1 and the Panasonic Toughpad B1. Both devices are designed for use in the field operations. It is comes with the MIL-STD-810G standard for drops, durability, resistance to dust and water.
As mention, the Toughbook brand is uses for Panasonic’s rugged laptops that inspired by company into Android durable tablet. The 10.1-inch Toughpad A1 and 7-inch Toughpad B1 will debut in 2012.
Panasonic Toughpad A1 and B1 Specifications
Specs wise, the Panasonic Toughpad A1 is boasts a 1.2GHz dual-core Marvell processor, 1GB of SDRAM memory, 16GB of built-in storage, and runs Android 3.2 (Honeycomb) OS.
Newly Toughpad FZ-A1 tablet is packs a 10.1-inch anti-glare capacitive touchscreen display with XGA (1024 x 768) resolution and supports finger and pen input (bundled with a stylus), a rear-facing 5MP camera, and a front 2 megapixel camera.
Other features are a microSD card slot, GPS, and a battery enabling up to 10 hours of run time per charge. In term of connectivity, the Panasonic Toughpad FZ-A1 has 802.11 b/g/n WiFi, 4G (LTE or WiMAX), Bluetooth 2.1, a micro HDMI output, and a micro USB port.
Panasonic Toughpad A1 and B1 Price
According to source, the Panasonic Toughpad A1 rugged tablet is set price tag €850 for non-3G version, or €999 for 3G model. Both prices are VAT not included.
