Panasonic will provide 40 inch OLED TV in 2010

Panasonic has confirmed additional details about its plans to develop 37 inch OLED TV. In particular, Panasonic announced that the ongoing collaboration with Sumitomo Chemical on the development of ultrathin OLED panels, as well as with other manufacturers, whose names are not named.

According to Panasonic, the company has not yet taken any final decision about the mass release of OLED TVs. However, according to the Nikkei Business Daily newspaper, a Panasonic yet there are plans to develop and produce, by 2010, OLED panel with a diagonal of 40 inches and above.

Last month, experts Panasonic announced the formation of OLED panels with a lifetime of over 50,000 hours. This is more than one and a half times the average service life of current devices, which is 30,000 hours. It was expected that the first model Panasonic OLED TV will be on the market in the next one and a half to two years. This will be a device with a diagonal of 37 inches and one inch thick, developed in partnership with the Toshiba Corporation.
