South Korean company, Pantech has just introduced new smartphone in their home market, the Pantech IM-A690 Mirach. The handset is running on Android 2.2 OS (Froyo).

New Pantech IM-A690 Mirach phone will be available in two versions: the Pantech IM-A690S is designed for SK Telecom cellular operator (GSM/UMTS), and the Pantech IM-A690L is for LG U+ (CDMA EV-DO).

Looks inside of Pantech Mirach IM-A690 is a 3.5-inch TFT display with resolution of 480 x 800 pixels (WVGA), a 5 megapixel autofocus camera with LED flash, 500MB of internal memory, MicroSD/MicroSDHC card slot (4GB card included), 3.5mm headphone jack, T-DMB, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and GPS.

The Pantech Mirach (IM-A690) smartphone can play video in DivX and Xvid format. Dimensions of Pantech Mirach IM-A690 are 117 x 57.7 x 11.7 mm and weight 115g. It will be available in four color options.

Previously, the Pantech has released other smartphone, the SKY IM-A600S Sirius, SKY IM-A630K Izar, Pantech SIRIUSa IS06, and SKY IM-A650S Vega.
