Patriot Memory has recently announces addition of their new solid state drives (SSD) series, called Patriot Zephyr. It packs reliable and durable SSD with aluminum housing for minimize typical wear.

This SSD is made on the basis of JMicron JMF612 latest generation controller and connected to computer via SATA 3 Gbps.

Patriot Zephyr SSD has feature 64MB DDR2 buffer cache and support for TRIM command in Microsoft Windows 7, which allow extending the life of SSD and optimizing its performance.

The Patriot Zephyr SSD is available in three models, 256GB, 128GB and 64GB of capacities. It delivers transfer speed of 240 MB/s in reading and 180/145/85 MB/s write, respectively. There is no word on pricing.
