Philips has announced a new widescreen LCD monitor to its line of Brilliance. Novelty is called Brilliance 225P1ES and it has a screen diagonal of 22-inch, as well as a PowerSensor function of energy. This technology automatically detects the absence of the user to the front of monitor and at this time reduces the brightness and contrast of the display. According to the manufacturer, energy usage in this mode is reduced by 70%.

Philips Brilliance 225P1ES LCD Monitor has a stand that enables to rotate screen up to 90 degrees, and its resolution is 1680×1050 pixels. However, its brightness is 250 cd/m2, contrast ratio of up to 1000:1, and the response time is 5 ms. In addition, the monitor is equipped with two speakers and a capacity of 1.5 watts, as well as D-Sub, DVI and USB ports.

Philips Brilliance 225P1ES LCD widescreen monitor should begin soon and its cost is equal to 229 Euro (without VAT).
