Philips debuts Brilliance LCD monitor with PowerSensor

Philips has just launched a monitor which incorporates the technology of infrared sensors, in this way to detect the monitor if you are present. Philips LCD monitor contains “PowerSensor” which may detect if you are sitting in front of your monitor or not, and then adjust the monitor brightness. Brilliance LCD monitor by Philips brings TFT-LCD panel type, panel size is 22-inch (55.9 cm), and aspect ratio is 16:10.

Thus, if you decide to get up to go do something and leave the monitor on it, the brightness will reduce to dim as a result of energy consumption. It also will be reduced by 50% and when to go back it will realize that all the same, since the brightness immediately return to normal.

Part of the sensitivity is configurable, and the sensor can detect between 30cm and 120cm away from the screen to you. It has operates independently of the PC and operating system, so it will work with anything connected to it. Philips Brilliance LCD monitor will be available in July at a price of £170 or about $280.
