Philips S388 Smartphone made official in India

Aside the I928 octa-core 6-inch smartphone, Philips has also officially introduced a new smaller handset, the Philips S388. Still in India, the phone is already appeared on the official Philips India website with its specs-sheet and price tag. Meanwhile, the S388 would be available in the country soon.

The Philips S388 boasts a 1.3GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6582M processor and 1GB of RAM. Smaller than its sibling, this phone has 4.5-inch IPS display with a resolution of 960 x 540 pixels. It is supporting dual-SIM card slots with WCDMA and GSM cellular networks.

Like the Philips I928 phone, new S388 runs Android 4.2 Jelly Bean operating system that not the latest version, called KitKat. It provides 5MP rear camera with LED Flash, and 0.3MP front-facing camera for selfie.

Coming in 9.1mm thick and weighs 136.5 grams, the new Philips I928 smartphone packs FM Radio and a 1700 mAh battery. There’s a microSD card slot in case the 4GB of built-in storage isn’t enough for you. Other assets on phone are 3.5mm audio jack, 3G, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth, and GPS/A-GPS.
