Pioneer DVR-XD09 portable DVD writer hits US market

Pioneer has released a month ago on the Japan market, a portable DVD writer, DVR-XD09. Now they plan to begin selling in the United States. According to the representative of Pioneer Electronics, the device combines high capacity and high quality performance in one of the world’s most slender form factors. Pioneer DVR-XD09 is intended for use primarily with the ultraportable netbook and other devices.
Pioneer DVR-XD09 portable DVD writer provides USB 2.0 interface that compatible with most computers. The device has a 2MB buffer memory and can writing DVD-R/R at speed of 8x, DVD-R/R DL and DVD-RW/RW at speeds of 6x, DVD-RAM at speed of 5x, and CD-R and CD-RW at speed of 24x.
The size of Pioneer DVR-XD09 DVD writer is 133×133x14.8 mm and weight is 240 grams. The Pioneer DVR-XD09 will go on sale in the United States next month. Its cost will be about $79.99.
