Plastic Logic e-reader, new e-book reader support WiFi and 3G

Plastic Logic is preparing a new e-book reader, aimed at business audiences, Plastic Logic e-reader. E-book reader is equipped with touch screens 8.5 x 11 inches, utilizing the E-Ink technology. Its prototype was demonstrated at the D7 conference.

Plastic Logic e-reader has an on-screen QWERTY keyboard, it will a pop-up toolbar with navigation options; there are WiFi and 3G data confirmation. Also there are options for input handwriting recognition and other data. There is also quick access to folders and data in real time. Page turns on this prototype is happening more slowly than the Amazon Kindle, but it is expected that the final version of the gadget will work faster. Operational e-book reader is performed by using the arrows in the lower left corner or by selecting the page number on the right side of the screen. E-book reader supports data transmission on Wi-Fi and 3G wireless.

There is currently no definitive information about the cost of the new Plastic Logic e-reader, but Walt Mossberg, the organizer of the conference, announced the amount of $ 500.
