If you are wondering on what products will benefit from the upcoming USB 3.0, you already know that one of them will be webcam with High-Definition quality.

Point Gray Research Company has developed a webcam that uses USB 3.0. It is equipped with Sony’s CMOS sensor and offers a resolution of 3MP. The equipment also offers data transmission at 4.8 Gbps, which is more than enough for uncompressed 1080p Full HD.

The computer will be able to work on compression and signal analysis, offering at least according to the manufacturer’s announcement, superb picture quality and more accurate face recognition feature.

Moreover, the webcam will be deprived of hardware compression, so it will result in smaller and lighter. USB 3.0 Interface will be applied primarily in the external drives, both hard drive and SSD. We are waiting for motherboards equipped with USB 3.0, which will be available at reasonable prices.
