Polaroid iM1836 mirrorless Android smart camera made officially [video]

Polaroid, famous instant camera manufacture, has officially announced its new Android smart camera at CES 2013, the Polaroid iM1836. It is also to be the world’s first Android camera with interchangeable lens.

Unlike Samsung Galaxy Camera and Nikon although same run Android OS, the Polaroid iM1836 is a mirrorless camera that offers changeable lenses, a 10mm – 30mm lens in the box. Furthermore, this camera has an 18.1 megapixel sensor.

Running on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean operating system, new Polaroid iM1836 smart camera packs a 3.5-inch LCD display along with WiFi and Bluetooth connectivity.

For compatibility, the Polaroid iM1836 Android smart camera is support for Micro Four Thirds lenses but needed an additional adapter.

It is expected available in Q1/Q2 2013 with retail price of $399.
