Pomera DM20 digital notepad, like notebook

The Japanese company, King Jim has announced their digital notepad or “notebook PC”, Pomera DM20, equipped with a 5-inch monochrome display with a resolution of 640×480 pixels and a folding QWERTY keyboard.
The Pomera DM20 is designed exclusively for storing text notes, and it cannot replace a laptop. However, send e-mails using the device are still possible: this would require a connection to a mobile phone. Pomera DM20 is allow stored in TXT format and can be copied to a computer using the USB connectivity.
Pomera DM20 has brings an 89MB internal memory and slot for microSD card with up to 16GB. It is comes bundled with an electronic dictionary with support for 30 languages.
Pomera DM20 has two AAA batteries. Its dimensions are 145×100x33 mm and weight is about 370g.
The Pomera DM20 digital notepad will be available in Japan on December 11th and its cost is 34,650 yen (about $400).

Nice keyboard design but the device is just too limited. A proper pocket computer with this keyboard – competing with the UMID M1, for example – would really be an interesting alternative to netbooks and smartphones.
