pureSilicon Kage K1 flash drive and SSD

PureSilicon has announced their portable storage solution, the Kage K1 USB flash drive and the Kage K1 SATA enterprise-class SSD. The solid state drive is designed for use at light enterprise users and workstations.

The PureSilicon Kage K1 USB flash drive is utilized SuperSpeed USB 3.0 connectivity and capable to reaching up to 400MB/s read speed. It will be available in five capacity options – 60GB, 90GB, 120GB, 180GB, and 240GB. Dimensions of PureSilicon flash drive are 76.75 x 22 x 4.5 mm.

New PureSilicon Kage K1 SATA solid state drive is made in eMLC NAND (Enterprise MLC) memory chip and delivering up to 540MB/s read and 520MB/s write speed. The PureSilicon SSD is used SATA 3.0 interface and coming in 100GB, 150GB, 200GB, 300GB and 400GB of capacity.

Dimensions of PureSilicon Kage K1 SATA SSD are 100.5 x 69.85 x 7.0 (or 9.5) mm.

The price of Kage K1 USB flash drive is starting from $230 (to $630), while the Kage K1 SATA SSD is between $975 and $2575. Both storage devices will be arriving in late Q1 2012.
