The Chinese company, QiGi has shared information about their new mobile computer, called QiGi U1000 Smartbook.
The QiGi Smartbook has functionality and candybar form factor more similar to ordinary mobile internet device.
The QiGi Smartbook is a 5-inch touchscreen TFT WVGA display with a resolution of 800×480 pixels, 3.2-megapixel camera, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, GPS receiver, and a USB port. Features of QiGi Smartbook are a 128MB of ROM, a 256MB of RAM, slot for TF card with capacity of 32 GB, and 3.5mm audio jack for headphones. QiGi U1000 Smartbook is powered by a Marvell Monahans PXA310 CPU.
QiGi U1000 Smartbook is running on Windows Mobile 6.1 and its battery is a built-in rechargeable battery capacity of 1900 mAh. Its dimensions are 142.2×85.2×11.8 mm (LxWxH) and weight is 187g.
The cost and timing of the QiGi U1000 Smartbook on sale is not yet disclose.
