Qualcomm announced that its subsidiary of Qualcomm MEMS Technologies began production of the new Mirasol displays in a factory plant, opened in Taoyuan, Taiwan.

This factory set up in conjunction with the Foxlink, also known as Cheng Uei Precision Industry, and will produce Mirasol displays for a new technology that provides rapid updating of visual information. This will allow them not only for information purposes, but also to display video and other multimedia tasks.

Recall that Mirasol-displays, developed using proprietary Qualcomm technology, dispense with the special light that allows you to significantly reduce their energy consumption. In doing so, they are very bright and clear image. Experts assure us that when a static image on the display of its power usage is close to zero. All these qualities make it possible to successfully apply the Mirasol displays in portable devices, such as mobile phones and mobile internet device.
