Razer Blade Pro gaming laptop announced, VR-ready machine

Razer has officially announced a new gaming laptop, called the Razer Blade Pro. This machine is the first laptop that truly blended power and portability in a PC. It sports 17.3-inch G-Sync IGZO display with Intel’s latest quad-core i7 CPU and NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 GPU. Company noted the device is the most powerful system ever built and the thinnest notebook available with a GTX 1080.

New gaming laptop provides a mechanical keyboard and USB-C Thunderbolt 3 for advanced connectivity options. Razer Blade Pro gaming laptop has three USB 3.0 ports, HDMI, Ethernet port, and headphone jack. It comes with 32GB of DDR4 dual-channel memory, up to 2TB of PCI M.2 SSD in RAID 0 storage and a built-in SD card reader. Gaming notebook is equipped with a Kensington lock and a 2MP front-facing camera.

Coming with unibody CNC aluminum chassis, it measures just 0.88 inches thin alongside weighs 3.54 kg. The notebook is take of advantages from Razer’s Ultra-Low-Profile Mechanical switches. The Razer Chroma technology is also adopted on the keyboard and trackpad. That unlocks an array of dazzling lighting effects and can be customized by the user or synced to display in-game events.

To reduce heat resistance and hotspots by spreading heat quickly and evenly, the Blade Pro provides a new thermal management system that includes a vapor chamber cooling. It is also maximize heat dissipation by a custom fan design and dynamic heat exchanger, also paired with the vapor chamber.

Keep in mind that Razer Blade Pro is a VR (virtual reality) ready laptop, which is support for HTC Vive, Oculus Rift and OSVR HDK 2. So, the Razer Blade Pro gaming laptop will be start shipping from November and asking price of $3699.
