Ricoh has officially unveiled a new rugged action camera at MWC 2016, the RICOH WG-M2. It is a shockproof and waterproof action camera that brings an ultra-wide 204-degree lens. So, the device can capture 4K Ultra-HD video resolution. The WG-M2 comes with a 40 percent smaller and more lightweight, if compared with previous models in its WG series.
Reportedly, RICOH WG-M2 rugged action camera can survive even depth of up to 65 feet underwater. Also, it has shock-resistant against a fall from 6.5 feet. Users are also use the camera even operate in temperatures as low as -10 degree Celsius.
Another interesting point, this Ricoh camera provides video-orientation feature, which enables video recorded upright if the camera is mounted sideways or even upside down. You can also control the Ricoh WG-M2 via Wi-Fi with a smartphone or tablet using the free Ricoh ImageSync app.
The camera has a new start-stop control mechanism vibrates to confirm when recording is started or stopped. It is ensuring that important moments are never missed. This rugged camera packs a large 1.5-inch color LCD monitor to ensures you can view the action during recording or to playback video on the go.
