Ruckus Wireless ZoneFlex 7762 outdoor access point with dual-band 802.11n

Ruckus Wireless announced a new outdoor access point, ZoneFlex 7762, which the developers have called the world’s first such device to support dual-band 802.11n protocol, equipped with the function of the dynamic development of the beam. According to Ruckus specialists, this approach allows the ZoneFlex 7762 access point benefit performance of three to four times.

ZoneFlex 7762 Outdoor access point has supports Wi-Fi Draft N of the two bands 2.4GHz and 5GHz and up to sixteen network identifier (SSID) at the same time. In addition, the shell of the device is resistant to the effects of adverse weather conditions, including protection against water and dust according to the IP-65 standard. And thanks to a system of heating the ZoneFlex 7762 outdoor access point is able to operate on a frost to minus 40 degrees Celsius.

Ruckus Wireless ZoneFlex 7762 can be deployed as an access point or integrated into the network. In addition, it supports the technology of power-over-ethernet (PoE). This access point will be on sale in August 2009 at a price of $1,999.
