RunCore added Pro IV series SSDs
China company, RunCore announced a significant expansion of its family of Pro IV SSDs, starting with the May debut of the four 2.5-inch models. All drives in the new series are equipped with special Do-It-Yourself “DIY” upgrade package, which includes an external enclosure with USB interface and software to copy data.
The new Pro IV SSD implemented in 1.8-inh and 2.5-inch form factors, and 50/70 mm PCIe and interfaces are equipped with SATA II, PATA and PATA IDE. Reported, they claimed increase the execution speed of operating system and applications work in multitasking mode, as well as startup, shutdown, application launch, and operation of large files. The new RunCore Pro IV SSD will ship begin in August 2009, and this product line should have the following:

* Pro IV 70 mm PCI-e SATA II SSD – storage capacity of 32 GB to 128 GB
* Pro IV 50 mm T-Style PCI-e PATA SSD – storage capacity of 32 GB to 128 GB
* Pro IV 2.5-inch SATA II SSD – storage capacity of 32 GB to 256 GB
* Pro IV 2.5-inch PATA IDE SSD – storage capacity of 32 GB to 256 GB
* Pro IV 1.8-inch PATA IDE SSD – capacity from 32 GB to 128 GB
* Pro IV 1.8-inch, 5 mm micro-SATA SSD – storage capacity of 32 GB to 128 GB
* Pro IV 1.8-inch, 5 mm PATA Zif SSD – storage capacity of 32 GB to 128 GB

* Pro IV 1.8-inch SATA II LIF SSD for the Macbook Air Rev B & C – capacity of 32 GB to 128 GB
* Pro IV 1.8-inch PATA ZIF SSD for the Macbook Air Rev A – capacity from 32 GB to 128 GB
* Pro IV 2.5-inch SATA II SSD for the Mac – the capacity of 32 GB to 128 GB
* Pro IV 2.5-inch PATA IDE SSD for the Mac – the capacity of 32 GB to 128 GB.
According to the RunCore, the cost of the new Pro IV SSD at 32GB, 64GB, 128GB, and 256GB are $180, $290, $500 and $900 respectively.
