Sagem Spiga based on UMID Mbook M1 but cheaper

November 10th, 2009 | Filed under Internet, Video Clips 0 Comments

Sagem soon release a mobile Internet device (MID) called Spiga. Apparently, it is based on Mbook M1 from the UMID. It is folding machine with a 4.8-inch touchscreen and QWERTY keyboard. In this case, the Sagem Spiga is significantly cheaper than a basic price previous, 499 EUR instead of 600-700 EUR. By the way, UMID Mbook M2 will be release in November and December with priced at $449.

Otherwise, the specifications of Sagem Spiga are apparently not differing from Mbook M1. The Sagem Spiga is running Windows XP and equipped with 4.8-inch display with a resolution 1024×600 pixels and it is based on Intel Atom Z510 processor with a clock speed of 1.1GHz. Addition, it is equipped with Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and 3G, a slot for microSD memory card, and 1.3 megapixel web camera. Sagem Spiga battery is enough for 5 hours of battery life.
