Samsung and US Cellular mobile operator announced the Android smartphone, known as Samsung Acclaim (SCH-R880). The handset is first shown at the Google I/O 2010 conference (San Francisco, 19-20 May).

New Samsung SCH-R880 Acclaim is executed in the side slide form factor. This Android phone has brings a sliding keypad with a QWERTY layout, an optical joystick, a 3.2-inch touchscreen display, 3 megapixel autofocus camera with LED flash, a microSD/microSDHC memory card slot with up to 32 GB (a 4GB card included), Bluetooth, and Wi-Fi connectivity, as well as VPN (Virtual Private Network) Compatible.

Samsung Acclaim SCH-R880 is running on Android 2.1 (Eclair) OS. Dimensions of Samsung SCH-R880 Acclaim are 4.49×2.32×0.60 inches and weight 4.59 Ounces.

The Samsung SCH-R880 should be sale starts July 9 for cost $100 with contract, an early buyer will get a $20 gift card.
