Samsung has rolled out a new improved version of its Google’s Chrome-based nettop, the new Samsung Chromebox (model number XE300M22-A01US). It is known as the small but comes with speedy solid state drives, Chrome operating system, as well as a more business-like black and gray chassis.
The previous model of this mini PC was released in mid-2012, which has a 1.9GHz Intel Celeron B840 dual-core processor, 4GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage.
New Samsung Chromebox brings a faster dual-core 2.5GHz Intel Core i5-2450M CPU (3.1GHz in turbo) but amount of RAM and storage are remaining unchanged. The Samsung Chromebox Core i5 model is enough to handle most basic computing tasks such as HD video playback, web apps, and more.
Chromebox nettop is equipped with Wi-Fi 802.11a/b/g/n, Intel HD 3000 GPU, Bluetooth 3.0, Gigabit Ethernet, DisplayPort and DVI connectors, as well as six USB ports. Dimensions of Samsung Chromebox (XE300M22-A01US) are 7.60 x 7.60 x 1.30 inches (L x W x H) and weighs 2.9 pounds.
