Samsung Continuum (SCH-I440) Smartphone gets dual touchscreens, ticker display

Samsung has finally announced the upcoming availability of its Galaxy S family, the Samsung Continuum (SCH-I440). The handset is the world’s first smartphone designed with a dedicated ticker display that offers up-to-the-minute news, finance, sports, and social networking updates for maximized multitasking.

A key feature of Verizon Samsung Continuum (SCH-I440) is two Super AMOLED touchscreen including a 3.4-inch main display with resolution of 480 x 800 pixels on upper and a 1.8-inch interactive ticker display with 400 x 96 resolution of bottom.

Samsung SCH-I440 Continuum smartphone is packs a 5 megapixel autofocus camera with LED flash and 720p HD video recording, 384MB RAM, microSD/microSDHC card slot (a 8GB card included), Bluetooth 3.0, Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n, GPS, 3.5mm headphone jack, and media player with support for DivX and Xvid codec.

The Continuum is boasts a 1GHz Samsung Hummingbird processor and running Android 2.1 OS. It is provides work in CDMA EV-DO Rev. A cellular network. In additional, Samsung Continuum has brings 3G Mobile HotSpot capabilities (up to five compatible Wi-Fi-enabled devices), Grip Sensor, and Six-axis sensor.
