Samsung develops high-density memory RAM

January 31st, 2009 | Filed under Computer, Technology 0 Comments

Samsung has managed to use 50-nanometer technology in RAM memory, creating memories with more capacity and more power.

Specifically developed a 4GB DDR SDRAM using this technology, a new generation memory that can operate more effectively, with a use that for now seems to be servers and high-performance PC.

Samsung plans to launch the 16GB memory modules for servers, 8GB format UDIMM PC desktop and laptop SODIMM up to 8GB in a single module. The configuration of servers and 16GB capacities for minors can consume 40% less power compared with a 2GB DDR3 module.

Lower energy density and more capable of configurations that can help create enough servers to stop being so “pollutants.”
