Samsung has expanded its 3.5-inch hard disk drive family, the Samsung EcoGreen F3EG. The new Samsung EcoGreen F3EG HDD is offered in capacities of 1.5TB and 2TB with buffer size may be 16MB or 32MB. It is connects to computer through Serial ATA II interface (SATA 3.0 Gbps). Samsung EcoGreen F3EG hard drive implemented Native Command Queuing technology (NCQ), which allows hard drive to handle multiple requests sent to processor and determine priorities that achieving maximum speed.
Samsung EcoGreen F3EG Drive uses the company’s EcoTriangle technology, which providing low power consumption, low noise, and minimal heat. It is consume 40% and 10% lower in idle and reading/writing modes, respectively.
The Samsung EcoGreen F3EG hard disks drive will be used in desktop computers, digital video recorders, systems backup, and data storage, etc. It is already available in the United States and European Union for approximately $140 (1.5TB) and $180 (2TB).
