Virgin Mobile has released new Android-powered smartphone, called the Samsung Galaxy 550. The Samsung handset is offered by Virgin for $199.99 no-contract or as low as $0.00 on contract/SuperTab.

New Samsung Galaxy 550 smartphone is boasts a 600MHz processor and runs Android OS 2.1. The Virgin Samsung Galaxy 550 packs a 2.8-inch QVGA touchscreen TFT LCD display with 240 x 320 resolution, 50MB internal memory, Wi-Fi, GPS, 3.5mm headset jack, Bluetooth 2.1, 2 megapixel camera, and a microSD card slot that enabling hold up to 16GB.

It is supports HSDPA 7.2Mbps Dual band (850/1900MHz) connectivity. Dimensions of Galaxy 550 are 108 x 56 x 12.3 mm and weight 102 grams.
