Samsung Galaxy Player YP-GB1 Android PMP at CES 2011
Samsung has announced a portable media player, the Samsung Galaxy Player YP-GB1. The first detail of new Android-based Galaxy Player was appeared in August 2010.
New Samsung Galaxy Player (YP-GB1) is similar design to its flagship smartphone, the Samsung I9000 Galaxy S. It is likely removed cellular capabilities and replacing a 5 megapixel camera to the 3.2 megapixel camera. The contrary to expectations, the Samsung Galaxy Player (YP-GB1) has two cameras, 3.2MP rear camera and front facing camera.
Samsung YP-GB1 Galaxy Player is running Android 2.2 Froyo OS and support for Samsung Apps and Android Market. It is powered by a 1GHz Hummingbird processor and SoundAlive audio enhancing technology.
The Samsung Galaxy Player (YP-GB1) portable player is sports a 4-inch touchscreen Super Clear LCD (TFT) display with resolution of 480 x 800 pixel, Bluetooth 3.0, Wi-Fi, GPS, a microSD card slot, and a 1200 mAh removable battery.
Most likely, Samsung has confirms the Samsung Galaxy Player (YP-GB1) will showcase at CES 2011 (January 6-9, Las Vegas, Nevada, USA). At the same time will be announced its price.
In the portfolio, Samsung is showing other Android portable player, the Samsung YP-G50 (Galaxy Player 50).
