Samsung Galaxy S (GT-I9000) Android Smartphone for Smart Life
Samsung has announced its new flagship Android smartphone, called Samsung Galaxy S (Model: Samsung GT-I9000) at The International CTIA Wireless 2010, which opened today, March 23, in Las Vegas (Nevada, USA).
The Samsung Galaxy S (GT-I9000) is equipped with 4-inch touchscreen Super AMOLED display with resolution of 480×800 pixels (WVGA) and support mDNIe (mobile Digital Natural Image engine) technology that improving the brightness and contrast of the displayed image. Samsung Galaxy S I9000 phone has a GPS with 3D maps, 5 megapixel camera with autofocus and record HD video, accelerometer, sensors and lighting approximation, digital compass, Bluetooth 3.0, Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n, 8GB or 16 GB of internal memory, a microSD/microSDHC memory card slot (up to 32GB), and a 1500 mAh battery.
Samsung Galaxy S (GT-I9000) is boasts a 1 GHz application processor, which allows play 720p HD video and edit it directly on the smartphone (it is like feature of Samsung Wave S8500). Its media player is support playback of multimedia content including formats 3GP (MP4), WMV (ASF), AVI (DivX/Xvid), MKV, FLV, MP3, AAC, AAC+, eAAC+, WMA, AMR-NB, WAV, MID, AC3, IMY and XMF. Moreover, it is supported audio formats OGG and FLAC.
Samsung Galaxy S GT-I9000 phone is running on Android 2.1, complete with virtual Swype-keyboard package to work with Microsoft Office 2007, a user-defined daily briefing (displays on a desktop, such as weather information, news, stock quotes, etc.), Layar Reality Browser application, and Social Hub, designed for viewing pages in social network sites, correspondence with friends, etc.
The Samsung Galaxy S I9000 is able to use as a desktop clock, digital photo frames or a mini multimedia center with its stand. As mentions, this is similar accessories that offered for Motorola Droid and MOTOROI.
It is supports GSM/GPRS/EDGE 850/900/1800/1900 MHz and UMTS/HSDPA/HSUPA 900/1900/2100 MHz. Dimensions of Samsung Galaxy S (GT-I9000) are 64.2×122.4×9.9 mm and weight is 118g.
The Samsung Galaxy S phone will be available in Europe, North America, Latin America, Australia, and Asia soon.
