During the Mobile World Congress 2011, Samsung officially introduced a new flagship Android smartphone, the Samsung Galaxy S II (GT-I9100). It will replace last year’s model, the Samsung I9000 Galaxy S.

The Samsung I9100 Galaxy S II smartphone has a 4.3-inch capacitive touchscreen display with Super AMOLED Plus (Super AMOLED second generation) technology that brighter, more contrast, more beautiful.

New Samsung Galaxy S II (I9100) smartphone is boasts a 1GHz Samsung Exynos 4210 dual-core processor and running on Android 2.3 OS with TouchWiz 4.0 UI, as well as pre-loaded with Social Hub Premium, Readers Hub, Music Hub and Game Hub. This smartphone is also provides three-axis gyro. In addition, Samsung partners with Cisco and Sybase are preparing the Enterprise applications for the Galaxy S II series.

In specs of Samsung Galaxy S II smartphone is 512MB of RAM, MicroSD card slot, 8GB storage, an 8-megapixel camera with flash and 1080p (Full HD) video recording, Wi-Fi 802.11 n, Bluetooth 3.0, GPS, supports AllShare (DLNA 1.5) for wireless media streaming, and Wi-Fi Direct, that lets users share files via Wi-Fi. Some versions of the Samsung Galaxy S II will support NFC (Near Field Communication).

The thickness of the Samsung Galaxy S II smartphone is only 8.49 mm.
