Samsung Galaxy S4 and Galaxy S4 mini with dual-mode TDD/FDD LTE for seamless handover technology

Samsung has recently officially announced its new variant of Galaxy S4 and Galaxy S4 mini smartphones. Both devices deliver FDD-LTE (Frequency Division Duplex) and TDD-LTE (Time-Division Duplex) technologies. Reportedly, users will take advantage of both capabilities that enable to enjoy voice and data communications even as the smartphones switch between different types of LTE networks. Meanwhile, the dual-mode FDD/TDD LTE versions of Samsung Galaxy S4 and Galaxy S4 Mini will support for global LTE roaming including the US, Northern and Eastern Europe, and Australia. It notes that TDD-LTE (or TD-LTE) networks could be found in China, India, and Sri Lanka.

The Korean giant electronics company didn’t reveal further hardware details of the handsets. Pricing or availability of both smartphones are unclear at moment.
